Adele Abrams

Attorney and Certified Mine Safety Professional, Law Office of Adele L. Abrams PC
Adele Abrams is an attorney and Certified Mine Safety Professional who heads the Law Office of Adele L. Abrams PC, a multi-attorney firm with offices in the DC area, Denver and WV. The firm represents employers nationwide in OSHA and MSHA litigation, and also provides consultation services on safety and employment law. Adele is a graduate of the George Washington University National Law Center and is admitted to the state bars of MD, DC and PA and multiple federal courts including the US Supreme Court. She is on the faculties of University of Colorado, and Catholic University of America, where she instructs on Employment and Labor Law. She is also the co-author of multiple books on occupational safety and employment law.

Ann Marie Dale

Assistant Professor of Medicine and Occupational Therapy, Washington University School of Medicine
Ann Marie Dale PhD, OTR/L is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Occupational Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Dale has over 30 years of experience in the clinical treatment of work-related upper extremity conditions and in worksite based prevention of musculoskeletal disorders. She has used a variety of intervention methods for individuals and groups of workers in many industries including construction to prevent or reduce the effects of physical exposures from work tasks. She is currently exploring safety and ergonomic interventions in construction with a focus on reducing physical exposures and improving the health of workers.

Anthony Huey

Anthony Huey is a highly-rated speaker who offers session attendees pragmatic communications tools, tips and techniques they can use immediately. Anthony’s 20-year career includes tenures as a news reporter, magazine senior editor, crisis management specialist, media relations consultant and executive speech coach. He owns Reputation Management Associates, one of the nation’s leading communications training and crisis consulting companies. Anthony has presented more than 2,500 media, crisis and presentation skills training workshops, seminars and speeches in his career. His past client work includes a wide variety of advertising, public relations and communications initiatives for hundreds of trade associations, municipalities and companies, including Nike, Victoria’s Secret, Eli Lilly, Nationwide Insurance, The Kroger Company, and Procter & Gamble. Anthony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University.

Brandon Hody

Safety and Occupational Health Professional, Concurrent Technologies Corporation
Brandon J. Hody, CSP, is a Safety and Occupational Health Professional at Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where he has been a consultant in the safety, health, and environmental field for eight years. In his role at CTC, Mr. Hody provides support to clients on occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) implementation, as well as industrial hygiene assessment. As part of this effort, Mr. Hody assists clients with developing and implementing safety and health perception surveys to assess their employee safety culture and the effectiveness of their OHSMS. He also serves as a manager of client safety and health training at CTC, generating ideas for training content and materials; developing webinars, presentations, and other educations courses; and delivering safety, health, and environmental-related training to clients.

Brian Helm

President, Mechanical, Inc. & President of MCAA
Brian Helm became President of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America at the association’s Annual Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, in March 2019. Brian is the President of Mechanical, Inc., one of the largest plumbing and HVAC contractors in the Midwest, serving primarily Chicago, Milwaukee, and Omaha.  The Freeport, IL-based company—part of the Helm Group of companies—is known for delivering value to its customers in the Healthcare, Industrial, Education, Aquatic, Water/Wastewater Treatment, Government, High Rise, Energy and Mission Critical sectors. Interested in keeping current with the evolving construction industry, Brian got involved with both the MCA of Rockford and the MCA of Chicago. He is a Past President and board member of the MCA of Rockford. He has also served on the Local 23 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee, including several years as chair, and as a Pipe Trades Trust Funds trustee as well as chair of the group, which oversees the defined benefit pension and health and welfare funds. He has served the MCA of Chicago as a board member, President, a member of the Local 597 Joint Apprentice Training Committee, which he also chaired for several years, and the Local 597 Arbitration Board. Brian’s first experience with MCAA was at an annual convention. He chairs the association’s Technology Committee and its Education Committee. He was elected to the MCAA Board of Directors in 2013. On a personal note, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife, Kari, and their three children, Lily, Charlie, and Chase.  When he and Kari are not attending the kids’ various tennis and cross country events, the family enjoys skiing, boating, and playing board games.  Brian’s other favorite extra-curricular activity is chairing the public-private economic development board for his hometown of Freeport, IL.
